Our Story

Success!
Over the years while getting to know our students, we have sculpted an individual learning plan for each one. The initial program was built around English classes and grew from there. Some of our older students have learned the importance of good “salesmanship” (or lessons about money, exchange rates, etc.) to better help their family situation which included them being the sole provider in their home.

History
Simply enough, our work started by bringing families food & clothing, and practicing English with the children living in the pueblos in Banderas Bay, Mexico. We met famlies selling wares and food on the beach yet, after all their hardwork, there was not enough money for all basic needs: food, clothing and education.
My first "impromto" English lesson was given on the beach to a gentleman snack vendor selling chips (Fernando). Later I met his beautiful family and was quickly adopted as one of the family. This was the start of something fantastic!
It did not take long before the other kids were curious what this “Gringa” had for coloring books, flash cards and the occasional soda pop.

Soon after, lessons sitting in the Plaza practicing English, learning and laughing together, working with nearly 14 kids.
