What We Do
Create Awareness
We spend alot of time bringing awareness to those vacationing in Mexico as to how dire the situation can be for families living here and how easy it is to "Make a Difference"!
Pack with A Purpose
Visitors bring donations including clothing and school supplies, to be distributed to our local outreach.
We also enlist volunteers to spend a small portion of their holiday working with these families. They can participate in our "Glad Bag" Program. We start by having each volunteer pack their own donation "Glad Bag". You get to choose the gender and age of the kids you want to provide for, and then sort thru the supplies that have been donated and make a care package. Then we "Hit the Streets". You never need to go too far. This has been a huge success for both vacationers and also local community friends to get involved.
Chicken On Wheels
Very often the families we work with never have the opportunity to "Eat Out!" Many never even come into a town or populated area where they would even have access or the funds to purchase a meal. Hence, we simply started by purchasing "Family Pack Chicken Meals" and at random take them to families living in the shanties and outskirts of town. Buen Provecho! (Good Eating).
Joint Ventures​
We have been working hard at making new connections in the Playa Del Carmen area with programs such as DIF, Mexican Social Services and a local community church. Some of the most rewarding "giving opportunities" may include taking clothes and food to the many homeless people living on the streets. Join a mission program - teaching English in Chan Chen (Mayan Village), installing wood stoves, painting homes, lay tile or building homes or VBS.
If your "gift" is a monetary one, we will make the most of your donation and use it towards school supplies, crafts, food and clothing.
